All my life I never knew how to swim. But at the age of 23, in 2017, I made it my New Year Resolution to learn how to swim. My boyfriend, @gini__boy, gave me a few lessons and today it paid off! We went on a hike and I was able to swim and stand under a waterfall! #itsnevertoolate #soziaintnoinstamodel #blurry 😂

Also, I have a PET scan tomorrow to find out whether I’m on remission or not. I’m hoping for good news so please keep me in your prayers! .
EDIT: my pet scan got moved to feb 8, turned out I’m not allowed to hike before a scan 😬. I was upset at first but we just got to work with what we have.
At the start of 2018, my boyfriend and I attempted to kick off the year with the Palm Beach hiking trail. We drove all the way there but I started feeling so unwell that we didn’t end up doing it. The following day, my sickness got worse that I could barely walk from the car to the medical centre. Little did I know I was going to get diagnosed with Stage 2 cancer a few months later. I love going on hikes but because of my treatments and lack of strength, we didn’t get to go on any this year until today.
We finally ended 2018 with a long overdue hike, the Leura Cascades Circuit. Although this 30min trail was the shortest we’ve done, I’m glad I ended 2018 strong enough to do it. It’s only going to get better from here!

I also wanted to thank everyone who made pushing through the hardest year of my life worth it! You all know who you are! ❤️
